Top Places to Eat in Toronto

Dear TBEX Friends,

Would you agree that one of the best parts of travelling is eating the local food in the country you are visiting? I think it is! This year Toronto will be hosting TBEX North America and I’m excited that many of you are coming to not only a great country but a multicultural city that I call home. Now, you’re probably wondering what is a classic Canadian dish? I think the average Canadian would list the following:

  • Maple Syrup
  • Canadian Bacon (Pemeal Bacon)
  • Butter Tarts

While I think the above items represent Canada as a whole, I would say that Toronto is very unique. If you aren’t familiar with this great city, I’m happy to tell you that you are coming to the cultural capital of Canada. What does that mean for your stomach? Endless amounts of multicultural food. Are you craving street style pad thai like you had in Bangkok? Well you don’t have to go back to Thailand to get that authentic taste. Toronto’s diverse cuisine is a reflection of the different ethnic neighbourhoods that make up this city (Little Italy, Little India, Chinatown,  Korean Town, Greek Town etc.). If you get a chance, I highly recommend you check out the different neighbourhoods, but for those of you who can’t go too far from the downtown core where TBEX is being held, here are a list of great places to eat nearby.
