A Sleepless Vegas Trip

I don’t even know where to start to describe Vegas. It’s extravagant in every way! From the glitzy hotels to the crazy pool parties and clubs –  it’s a place that everyone should experience. I’ve been to Vegas three times and the first two times were really low key in comparison to the trip I just had a couple of weeks ago. It was last minute and the perfect getaway from the never ending winter in Toronto. My three days in Vegas felt like five days… Why? Well I didn’t really sleep… In fact I didn’t get to shop, see any shows, eat at the amazing restaurants or gamble. All things I wanted to do but didn’t have enough time. Everyday consisted of the following itinerary:

9:00am – 10:00am: Wake up and get ready for the pool parties

10:00am – 11:00am: Grab a large Starbucks coffee and a quick bagel for breakfast

11:00am – 6:00pm: Pool parties

6:00pm – 7:30pm: Quick dinner

7:30pm – 9:30pm: Nap

9:30pm – 10:30pm: Get ready to go to the clubs

10:30pm – 11:00pm: Travel – Yes it takes time to get 4 girls out of the hotel room

11:00pm – 6:00am: Vegas clubs

6:00am – 9:00am: Sleep Zzzz

Imagine doing this three days in a row! It reminds me of the Fat Boy Slim, Riva Starr & Beardyman song “Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat, Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat”…

Now I’m not complaining. I’m here to give ladies tips on how to have the true Vegas party experience that I had, which consisted of getting access to awesome pool parties and seeing big DJs like Nervo, Benny Benassi, and David Guetta spin at some of the best clubs you will ever go to!

Here are my tips:

1) Keys to the Parties = Club Promoters

I met Chris and Alex who are both club promoters for different spots. They got my friends and I into all of the parties we wanted to go to for free! The catch though is that you have have to get there before midnight if you want to stand a chance of getting in. Otherwise you’ll have to pay off the bouncer a lot of money! If you’re interested in going to any of the clubs that Chris and Alex promote,  be sure to send them a text and they just might throw you some drink tickets as well.

2) Have Fun and Be Social!

I’m going to state the obvious here. Vegas can be really cheap for girls! Not only do you get into clubs for free but most often you end up drinking for free as well! All guys more or less have to buy cabanas at pool parties or buy tables with bottle service at clubs in order to get in. There’s often a minimum spend fee and guys will actually want you to come to their booths to drink their alcohol. So be social, have fun and go talk to the guys at the booths. It’s very unlikely you will drink the last drop of their alcohol. In fact you will be requesting all their bottles of water by the end of the night, I’m not joking. We met so many different groups of guys and they were all fun to party with. Like you, they are there to have a good time!

3) Stay Hydrated

Do not do what I did and faint on your first day in Vegas. Yes it’s sad to admit but unfortunately it’s true… Mind you, my situation was pretty bad because I didn’t sleep well at the Montreal airport the night before my flight, only ate a mini taco for lunch and had three drinks while baking in the sun for 4 hours. Yes I fainted from dehydration. Luckily after being assessed by the paramedic, I had no serious injuries but was given the great advice to drink a lot of water throughout the day. I figured the trip could only go up from that point, and it did!

Now I could have gone into more details about my trip, but that wouldn’t be fun and the whole point is for you to experience it yourself! So get a group of friends and look into a trip to Vegas, you won’t regret it! Okay, you may regret it the last day hungover on your flight home, but that’s also all part of the experience. Have fun and stay safe!
